Hi everybody. I'm new to this forum and I've come here to look for help on how to remove my honda's dashboard, side dash, etc.

Some things in the vehicle look like they can be pulled off from "clicks" (The heater vents, speaker covers, and other small units), but I don't want to be breaking things off without being to sure, you know?

I drive a Honda Civic 1997 Ex and the cars guts look like this.

That's not a full pic but the rest of the interior goes with that particular center console design.

So if you could please help me out on how to dismantel this beast (no pun intended) of a car, please let me know, I'd really appreciate it!

ok with my car i have to first remove the power holder and there are 2 screws under the headunit that you have to unscrew then you can just pop those bitches off

 

This link shows you how to remove the radio. It shows how to remove all of the bottom dash pieces as well as the thing you have pictured. Not sure how to remove the rest though.

hey that site looks really helpful, thanks, I'm hoping from doing that part I can figure out how to remove the top dash. The reason I want to do this is because I want to custom paint my interior.

Is anybody an expert at painting your interior...?

 

What color are you painiting it? I'd leave it stock. But that's just my .02

 

I wanna do it like a vibrant red color. I think that would look sick!

 

I guess you could call me a partial expert, but I already messaged u about that.. anyways, here's what the service manual says about removing the dashboard. Wish I would have had this when I was painting my interior.
