I've had this problem for a while,but now want to get it fixed.My driver side door will not lock when I use the power switch,only my passenger side locks.Civic 2000 ex,any help thanks

 

Most likely a bad lock actuator in the driver's door. Definitely a DIY. You'll need to take the trim off the door.

 

if you dont want to fix it like me just hold the inner door handle open and press down the lock

 

I've heard it's a bit of a pain to replace the acuator, but you'll save some money for sure. I had a shop do mine when it went in my 01

I don't believe the driver door is supposed to locked when you press the switch, only the passenger. It's a kind of safety so you don't lock yourself out. In order to lock thedriver's without the keyless entry you have to hold the handle open then push the button. I've had two 2000 exs that both did this and my brother's 95 dx also had to have the handle open to manually lock it.
