People,

2001 civic, removed valve cover and wow, those 4 rubber spark plug seals are "welded" in those 4 round slots so tight!! Guess after 15 years rubber kinda gets welded into the aluminum seats. Whats the best way to remove? razor? Small screwdriver run through the round seats? What about a propane torch, "burning the rubber out?

i just used a flat head screwdriver?

 

I used a prybar and a hammer. Just kept working my way around it until it loosened up.
