for a while my car has had a rough idle, then it ran good for two days, now it idles at 2000 or 2500 until warm then it goes from 2000 back to 1000, and so on. I have replaced spark plugs, wires, iac, thermo sensor, and the pvc valve. Can anybody help please, thank you

 

I think its normal to have a high idle while warming up. Mine also does it.

 

it is normal...i have a 93 civic ex with 251,200 mi on it and it does the same thing, so I would think that is normal...especially after all that you replaced.

 

So you're saying that your idle is fluctuating back and forth once the engine is warm?

Initial high idle is normal, but then it should settle back down to about 800 RPMs.

 

how's your coolant level?

 

my coolant level is full, it idles like way high when it is cold, like almost 3000rpm, once warm it drops to 2500 but then goes from 2500 to 1000 and back and forth

 

you probably just have the idle set too high

 

my idle screw is all the way down, has had high idle for a long time but it is a turbo car, all started two days after I put a skunk 2 pro series intake manifold on.

 

my 94 cx also does similar to what you described, but once it warms up its fine

 

oh, you should have said that earlier.

did it come with the IACV or did you swap your stock one onto the manifold?
