Ok well the other day when I locked my keys in my car, I tried to open my car door with other keys and it didn't work. Well needless to say, I can't open the door from the outside, like the key spins, but it doesn't unlock it. Also from the inside I have to open it while holding the lock open. So anyhelp would be helpful.

Putting a key in your door lock that doesn't fit the lock is kind of like sticking a screwdriver in your lock. (no dig intended, just trying to make a comparison of the effect on the lock cylinder) If you forced the key to turn any at all you might have just popped the little clip off that holds the lock cylinder in place. With any luck it is laying down in the bottom of your door. No real harm done probably and you may be able to just pop itback on and go. Good luck. Hope this is it.

The key fits in perfectly but it doesnt even turn... I just wanna get the driver side door fixed... do you kno how much it would cost to fix it... im in Toronto..
