Do not try to start the engine with no coolant in it.

After everything is put back together and filled up, if it still won't start, follow the usual "no start" troubleshooting. There's no reason for the radiator specifically to cause this. Did you spill coolant anywhere, such as on the distributor?

I completely agree with mk. Don't run the engine without coolant.

The "no start" drill is (1) to listen for whether the fuel pump primes for 2 seconds when the key is turned to ON(II) and (2) to check whether there is spark at the plugs (click Spark link in my signature).

coolant should have no relation with the car not starting does it crank no start, or nothing at all check all your fuse, check the fuel pump fuse if you're getting a crank no start.
