idle issue

have 98 civic dx...manual...while parked, idle drops to almost stalling for 2 seconds, then goes back up to normal idle, then back down after several seconds....cycle repeats itself...never really stalls

im haveing a similar problem in my ek . check engine light ..car idles 1000 then goes to 1500 then back down never settleing. I also am curious

idle positioning sensor/valve dirty or needs replacing

Clean the idle control valve?
There are posts on here how to do it yourself, not too difficult and a cheap proper fix
