Hey fellas, got a problem with my 2000 civic ex - the rpm drops a little when the a/c is turned on an the car is in park, neutral or reverse....but in drive the rpm drops way low, I'd say between 100 -300 rpm and i hear the a/c compressor clicking on and off.

I've had two electricians who checked this out and both of them can't figure out what's causing the rpm to drop so low when on drive gear.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Any CELs? Sounds like your idle air control valve. My car used to do the same thing.
