Default idle problems

so with my mini-me im having a wierd idle
at first it was really low so i played with the idle adjust screw to get it to a normal idle(600 compared to tach sitting at 0rpms) it sounds a lil better but it still fluctuates (and theres not a vacuum leak)
it also is a pretty rough idle
also sometimes if i rev it up it sounds like its gonna stall afterwards and sometimes does die

Well an o2 sensor won't really cause a CEL to come on in a obd1 car. I guess it could but I'd check and see what the code # is first. Do you know how to check the code using the jumper wire?

The code suggests the O2 sensor is bad. First, clear the code from the ECU to see whether or not the same code returns.

I don't think the O2 sensor is causing the idle problem. Try cleaning the IACV and FITV and also replace the PCV valve ($2-3).

When you have the money to replace the O2 sensor, the CEL should turn OFF and the gas mileage and engine performance should improve.
