There the ones that said to get a new IACV, and it might be the MAFS going out?

unstable idle is a lot of the time this problem. when you push on the brakes does it stop? if so the leak is within the brake booster line. if not then check other vacuum sources. maybe one of the lines fell off and what not.

Thanks a lot guys. It doesn't stop when I hit the brakes. I'll keep that in mind and check the hoses.

When im driving and hit about 2k rpm it begins to Idle up to bout 2300 then back down to 2k. but then it goes away as a keep accelerating. I found out also when I crank my car it idles high at about 12-17, so I cant shift from Park to Drive4. So I would have to pop the hood and manually push the throttle down some so I can shift m car. There is two cables ginng to my throttle body, one to my accelerator and the other one to my auot trans case. As I begin ot brake and come to a complete start the high Idles begin to start again. I tryed adjussted the throtle but keeps doing it and the CEL is still on. The CEL comes on bout 1 min after i start the car and begin to drive.

it sounds to me like it is a little too complicated... unfortunately I say take it to a reputable mechanic who can test your ecu, look at your vacuum lines, and do the basic diagnostics... it is either do that of take your engine apart piece by piece looking for the problem... IMO

Ok, i took it to a mechanic shop today and the guy said its the IAC valve. And the part alone costs about 240$ then add labor making it around 300$. What does everyone think about that? Is the IAC fixable? or should I just buy a new IAC and then put it on myself? Now i'm frustrated!

If you can always manually push the throttle down under the hoodand it slows down, it's not the IAC. One of the cables or the throttle body itself is sticky or a cable is misadjusted.
