IMPORTANT A/C swap question.
I have a 95 Civic CX. Its a hatchback with a D15b8 in it. It has no a/c. I just found a 95 DX with a complete a/c system in it at a junk yard by me and was wondering if it would work with my engine or not?
i dont see why it wouldnt......... the AC bolts up to your front drivers side engine mount, the small one that bolts from under the frame rails.....
i dont see why it wouldnt just bolt onto yours. just get the whole thing if ya can....
only problem with junk yard stuff is well for one remove every joint and replace the rubber oring seals! and the compressor and condersor are still good and dont leak......

They offer a warrenty incase it doesnt work. Thats the good thing about Pull-a-Part. Its only going to be 86 bucks for it all. The car just hit the lot two days ago. I saw an 03 Si hatch with a DOHC VTEC there that had been on the lot for 1 day and was completly stripped....just the frame and a couple panels inside left.
On a '95 you should have an A/C button on the control panel already, it just has a plastic cover over it. But if it's part of the deal grab the control panel anyway, to have for a spare. I think all the necessary wiring inside the car is already in place. You will need the harness that goes to the compressor, relays, and condenser fan under the hood. It plugs into a socket on the right fender which should be empty now.
Im going 2maro and taking everything connected to the a/c parts. All wires, mounts, brackets and stuff. The workers there are a bunch or idiots and people who dont even speak english. So they ask what it is and look on the computer for a price. So everythings coming...maybe even a B18a1 out of an Integra that just got there
Got to be careful with A/C bits older than 3 years. E.G. the EVAPORATOR, (thats the bit under the dash thats gets cold and the CONDENSER, thats the bit out the front that gets hot are prone to leaking from corrosion. Its a lot of work to instal the system to find the next morning all the refrigerant is gone!
