input shaft repair sleeve ??
anybody have experience instaling an input shaft repair sleeve over the transmission input shaft ? does it reduce the noise of the input shaft bearing ? how long does this patch last ? I noticed that they are selling these sleeves at rockauto.com and i was wondering if they really work and if anybody have experience with them

Never heard of such sleeve on civic tranny before, will do nothing for the tranny or noise you got, if anything probably make it worse, if it fit.
I've repair many manual civic tranny. You need to change your mainshaft bearing if familiar with tranny, otherwise buy a used tranny or have someone rebuild it for you.

The sleeve is for the oil seal area, it fixes seal leaking caused by having grooves worn in the shaft.
It does nothing for the bearing. If you have bearing noise, replace the bearing(s). If the shaft is torn up in the bearing area you'll need to replace the whole thing.
