Default Instrument Cluster

Last night I bought a cluster with a tach from a 91 to put in my car. Then I noticed that someone was selling "information" on how to do this. Is this a hard job or something. I have done it many times on my Explorer, but never worked on a Honda before. I would think it was strictly plug and play. I was hoping I could use my same odometer in it.

Thanks in advance for you help.

1.On s equipped with radio coded theft protection system, refer to Vehicle Damage Warnings for system disarming and arming procedures. On s equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2.Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.Carefully pry hazard switch out of instrument panel.
4.Remove three instrument cluster bezel attaching screws.
5.Disconnect 4-P connector from instrument panel.
6.Remove four cluster attaching screws, then pull cluster rearward and disconnect speedometer cable and electrical connectors.
7.Reverse procedure to install.

Thanks a million. I knew it was that easy. Why someone would try and sell information like that is beyond me. But I guess the hard question would be is how to set the odometer in the new cluster? Is there an easy way to reset it to match the original miles or should I just simply swap out the odometers from cluster to cluster?

I think you can hook a power drill up to it and run it until it gets up there. Not sure if that works, but i saw it in a movie once.

DON'T REWIND THE ODOMETER!!! Just unscrew the three screw from the back where the "circuit board" is and swap odometers thats what i did so i don't have to worry about the mileage!!
