Default Instrument Cluster/Speedo?

Hi, will my 1996 civic hatchback still run if I unplug my speedo?
If any one could give me a link to intructions on removing the speedo that would be appreciated.
How much would you say my speedo is worth?

Thanks Rhys

Are you talking about your gauge or the sensor?

Are you asking about the Cluster?
If so then yes, all you have to do is unscrew the 2 screws under the top bezel, pull carefully on the bottom because there
are 2 clips. Once the bezel is removed the cluster is held on by 4 screws, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom, remove the
cluster and unclipthe 3 plugs, the one on the left is a bit of a pain but take your time.
The whole thing should take about 5 min.
