Just bought civic going to install an alarm in my 96 civic ex

Default Just bought civic going to install an alarm in my 96 civic ex

I just bought the civic and dont know too much about it yet, wanted to know if the wiring is reverse polarity, doubt it is but just checking.

Oh and am having one more problem the turn signal doesn't go turn off when I turn, i have to manually do it

There is a little plastic part that turns the turn signal off when the wheel returns to center, you will need to remove the wheel and clock spring to check it out. Obtain a service manual and be sure to follow all instructions exactly to avoid damage to the clock spring or injury or death from the air bag opening accidentally.

thanks mk378, I am going to be installing and alarm and a kill switch so I need to get to the ignition switch, would this give me access to the part you are talking about?

Ignition switch can be reached with the steering wheel on by just taking the plastic clamshells off of the column. Or you can splice into the wires under the dash.
