My aunt bought a 1996 civic lx. She is saying that every morning when she starts the car, her alarm goes off and she has to turn it off with the remote. I'm gonna go take a look at it tomorrow but was wondering if anyone has had this problem before?

What could it be?

maybe she should turn off the alarm with the remote before she starts the car...thats how my alarm works...lol

 

LOL!!! omg.

sounds like the ignition switch is triggering the alarm, so disarm it before she starts it. it could also be something faulty with the alarm itself. so i would try the above first, if that doesnt work, take it back to the place where she got it to get the alarm checked out.
