Hi once in awhile my car will start up then stall right away. It usually happens right after i fill up my gas tank. Anybody ever experience this problem? I've already change my fuel filter and I'm soon gonna buy a fuel pressure gauge to monitor. Well if anybody can help I'd appreciate it.

 

What year/engine Civic?

Does the CEL stay ON when you turn the ignition key to ON? If see, retrieve trouble code as described at link in my signature.

 

sup bro, thanks for replying. I got a 1993 civic dx hatch. with a jdm d15b motor. I have no cel error codes, and yes the cel comes on when i'm bouts to start the car.

 

You might want to clean the EACV/IACV and check whether the fuel pressure regulator is working properly.

In what condition are the plugs, distributor cap, and rotor?

 

I replaced my EACV and my distributor, plugs and wires are all brand new. I'm probably gonna pull the manifold off see whats going on with the injectors, fuel pressure regulator and etc.

With respect to the injectors and pulling off the manifold, you first might want to put some Seafoam in the gas tank and the vacuum line for the brake booster. Might fix the problem.

To test the fuel pressure regulator, you'll need a fuel pressure gauge and the procedure detailed in the 92-95 Civic manual (see link in my signature).

 

alright thanks bro I'm gonna do that first then get a fuel pressure gauge. Thanks a lot for the advice. I'll let you know how it goes in the future.
