Default Distributor Problems

I just put a d16z6 motor back in my 1995 civic ex and i put my old distributor back on and it is acting as if it doesn't want to catch fire, any suggestions?

First double check that you connected the crucial ground wire on the thermostat housing and that it is tight and not corroded.

Do you have spark at the plugs?

Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition key to ON?

Have you checked for blown fuses?
