Default Key fob not working properly

Hi guys. Having problems here with my remote. My honda is the model from 96-2001, I can open the doors with the remote but I can't lock it, have to use the key. Was thinking to pop in some scrap yard and find the key fob and receiver, what you guys think? It can work?

Have you replaced the batteries in the remote? Do you still have the factory radio?

I ask because the receiver for the keyless remote on the EK Civic is built into the OEM head unit. So if it's been replaced, you might have a wiring issue going on since you can unlock it, but not lock the doors again.

If it is the OEM head unit, I'd check the batteries in the remote key fob.

When you go to lock the car, do you hear the lock actuators in the doors?
