Default Key stuck in IGN 90 civ Hatch

WTF My key is stuck in the ign. It wont turn all the way to the left to allow removal.
What the heck is the next step? What in there is holding it? The car will turn off it just does not go all the way left to be able to remove.

Any Ideas
Thanks Toby

The automatic has an interlock solenoid. The shift lever has to be at Park before the key cylinder can be turned all the way to lock the wheel and the key removed. Other than that I don't know much about it. I think the system is powered from the same fuse that runs the brake lights (which is under the hood).

Mine does that every so often. What I do is just push the automatic shifter forward slightly & it releases. The kicker is my mom & I are the only ones that it does it on, my wife never has a problem & she drives it the most.
