key wont turn in ignition
I have a 96 Honda Civic Ex Coupe, and today it started doing something weird. When I went to crank up my car the key would not turn. I could put the key in, but then it wouldnt move, I kept taking out the key and trying to start the car again, but the key was stuck in place it would not move. Finally after about ten minutes I got the car to start up. Can someone help? I have no idea why it is doing this, today was the first time this happened.. Also once the car was running if I took the key out, I would have to fight with it again for about ten minutes to get it to star.
there is a plastic switch behibd the lock cylinder, thos have a tendency to wear out. u can pull it out and check it for wear.. amd you can find it by looking at the fuse panel underneath the stearing wheel. there is a square plug plugged into the fuse box. follow that to the switch.
