What type of motor should I look for. I'm planning on getting a 92-95 hatch back don't care what motor is in it because I will probably be doing a swap for what ever motor that is good for turbo and nitrous.

 

sorry if I have been asking some dumb questions but apparently I am a newbie to this stuff. I've bought quite a few Super Street, Sport Compact, and Import Tuner. But that isn't much help. Do yall have any advice on where I could get some help on this subject cause I don't wanna annoy yall to death asking questions.

 

ask away. theyre just frustrated with people calling it vtech, leave off the H. its just vtec. but it all depends on what you want out of the car, what are your plans with it? and how much of your income are you willing to put toward your car? oh, and for magazines, the best ones to learn from are probably Sport Compact Car, and Turbo and high tech performance. Honda Tuning is ok, but the other 2 are the best. they have more tech than the others, though Import Tuners Power Pages are pretty good.

i love it when people want one so bad because of the 10 year warranty. not a bad deal, but once that warranty is up, who the hell would buy it from you? it will be worth like 200 bucks.

 

My plans are to turbo its and maybe some nitrous too. thats about it for major performance other than the usual bolt-ons such as exhaust and so on.
So What I'm planning on doing is getting a 92-98 Civic rip the motor out and put a Vtec in it and turbo it. If I did something like this what is a good over all Vtec motor that I could put turbo and nitrous on. I see like tons of Vtec motors for sale so I'm trying to find out what model Vtec is good over all for a turbo and some nitrous? I've seen like a Prelude 2.2 Vtec for sale with a 5 speed tranny it said that stock the motor had about 200hp?
