Default Manual transmission fluid still "clear" after 58K miles, should I change?

My 2004 civic EX is about to hit the 60K mark. I bought it second hand at 35K miles back in 2010 and don't know if the transmission fluid has ever been changed before. so I thought might as well change the manual transmission fluid. I bought the MTF from honda dealer and took it to a private mechanic who'd do it for $30. He checked the fluid color and it shows it's still "clear". It's not pink but it's definitely not dark, clear like new engine oil. He says it's still "new" and I really don't need it.

Should I just wait for a couple more years? I dont know how "well-lubricate" stick should feel like but I have noticed it's a bit harder to shift the stick from 1st to 2nd or is that just normal?

just because the trans fluid is clear or pink doesn't its doing its job at 100% or there isn't microscopic pieces of metal in it. and save yourself $30 dollars and do it yourself.
