We installed a V2 system for an EX Y8 on my Y7 for temporary use ,, using flex pipe tubing to connect it to the factory tb until i can get the Y8 intake manifold for the sensors.. after starting the car once it warms up the idle goes up and down constantly .. we unplugged the map sensor from the intake which threw the check engine light of course but it stopped the erratic idle.. we plugged the sensor back in ,, but i assume since the ecu threw the code and check engine light that it will not read anything from the sensor until the ecu is reset.. my question is will the engine run fine as is with the check engine light until we get the new intake manifold with sensors to connect the intake as intended? does the map sensor cover anthing other than emissions?
