Default Mass Air Flow

I have a 96 civic coupe dx 1.6LNVTEC and i think my check engine light is on cuz of the mass air flow sensor but i plugged it back in and my light is still on idk what to do. Will the light come on if your VSS is bad??

To know why the light is on, you need to read out the code. On a 1996, you can use the OBD1-style jumper wire method or an OBDII scanner.

There is no mass air flow sensor, it's MAP controlled.

Bad VSS will turn the light on, the condition will only be detected when driving.
