Default Much of a difference?

Will there be much of a difference speed wise, replacing a D16Z6 motor with a D15B?
It is a daily driver / beater car, just wondering how noticeable the difference may be.

Thanks

Default RE: Much of a difference?

umm, yeah... there's going to be a pretty good difference. First off, the Z6 is vtec and the d15B isn't. Also, there's that little 20-horsepower-difference thing that the engines have going on.

And are we talking automatics or manuals? I dont' know about the d15's top speed, but my Z6 with an auto transmission can hit around 113mph, and that's with the carin 3rd(my exit was coming up on the highway, so I had to slow down). I can't imagine what 5-speed Z6's can hit.
