My AC blows hot and cold!! please help! 05 Civic
I have an 05 Honda Civic EX with an AC issue. It will blow fine for a while and then start blowing hot air, it seems to get worse when accelerating. I checked the refrigerant, and have already recharged, there doesn't appear to be any leaks... The compressor seems fine too... Has anyone had a similar problem? Could it be something electrical, or a sensor that is causing the air to disengage?

When it is blowing hot, pull over and check if the compressor is engaged. The plate next to the pulley spins when it is engaged and stops when it is not. Often "fine for a while, then hot" is because the clutch gap on the compressor is too wide. It can be adjusted.
