Just to give a little background. I have a 2001 ex coupe everything stock. When I went to start my car this evening the engine began to turn... then stopped. All I could hear after is stopped was my starter clicking. So I jump started the car and it worked... so I am guessing it was not the starter. The only thing is, I know I didnt leave anything on to drain the battery. All I did was shut the sunroof when the car was off. All the lights could be turned on and everything else worked in the car so I do not think the battery could have done it either. Maybe there just was not enough of a charge in the batter? Do you think the battery is going bad or could it be something a little bit more to worry about? Thanks in advance for any help guys.

 

weak battery take it down to your nearest auto zone have them test the battery that is the most likely culpret

 

I concur. "OEM" batteries last 5-7 years (you can check the date code on the side of the battery to confirm). You're within that window, so my vote goes to the battery as well.

 

Yeah, battery is a good chance (most likely), or it could be an alterator issue.

 

i had the same problem it was the batt and problem solved

 

So I replaced the battery and it started right up... so far so good. Hopefully it will start up fine tomorrow that way I know everything is good to go.
