hey guys

this might take a while so bare with me.

I've got a 94 civic eg hatchback. ive had it for about a year now n just recently its started FALLING TO PEICES. A few of the problems:

[ul][*] Dodgy banging noise from rear right shock
Slave cylinder on clutch leaking
Burning oil (always has burnt oil but i'll come back to this)
Squeaking from front left when i turn the wheels?
Thump, Thump, Thump noise ALLLLL the time from possibly front right or both. [*] [*]

ok aside from that the car drives.

can anyone please tell me what to do about all this as i am slowly but VERY surely losing heart in my car n i may end up driving something else unless i can be reassured. i dnt want to sell the car, i just want it to be a pleasure to drive again!

replace the cylinder, and the thump sounds like it might be a bad tire.

 

seems like it just needs some routine maintanance.

 

ya definitely change the slave cylinder, pick one up cheap at auto zone, cheaper at the junk yard. just picked up slave cylinder, master cylinder, and reservoir of acura cl at junkyard for 70. the squeaking sound might be cv shaft but they usually click when they are going bad, so check it anyway. burning oil can be alot of things. my 1.5 motor was smoking due to bad rings. easy fix if you know somebody with a valve spring compressor. thumping could be bad tire, but i had thumping sound before and it was my brakes and rotor going bad so check that too. also cheap and easy fix.

 

oh yeah banging noise from shock, is 1 of 2 things, either got a bad shock. or it is coming loose from its mount. park your car on a level surface. look at it from behind. if its not sitting level then u probably got a bad shock. if thats not it then jack the car up on that bad side and firmly grab the shock and try to shake it. if it has play then it is coming loose and needs to be tightened back down

 

Yep, time to spend a bit of cash.
