Need help with a leaky 04 civic coupe.
Hey Guys,
Thanks for taking the time to help me. I have a 04 civic coupe. The trunk leaked and rusted the trunk, spare wheels jack etc. I gutted the trunk, remove the dyna mat like material, so i am down to metal. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there, now th cabin leaks, so i have to gut the cabin, I removed the mat and bought a new one, but i have a problem. Under the carpet it had 3 layers of a harden tile, since i am down to metal. where can i get the original tiles to buy ? what's the purpose for the harden tile ? Does it stiffen the floor ? I don't think honda sells them. Any help is greated appreciated.
Thanks,
I'll try to post pics

Hey, I have the exact same issue with my '89 4-door.
There was about two inches of standing water in the trunk, the rear seats are damp, and the footwells' are super soggy. I drilled a few holes in the bottom of the trunk to let the water drain out, and now the car is in the garage drying out.
I had to take out all the mats to dry. It's super soggy underneath them. Your feet go 'squish' when you step into the car. I know the leak is in the trunk cause it still gets mega condensation and super dusty in the summer.
My question is: Are the seats and footwells wet from all the standing water in the trunk leaching forward into the rest of the car? Any advice/insight on where the trunk leak might be and how to fix it??
Cheers!
