Smile Need Help, low mileage Civic

Hi All,

This is my second post, I recently purchased a 2003 Civic DX Sedan, it was a stolen but recovered vehicle, and was bought from an insurance company/Dealer. The car has only 57,000KM on it. I just don't know what to do from a maintenance point of view as I have no maintenance history. Do I replace the oil first with synthetic oil.

1. What are the indicators of an under performing engine? I get 480KM on a full tank (Winter, include long cold starts).
2. Oil filter/Air filter replacement?
3. I'm planning on getting a remote starter installation, any recommendations?
4. I get a sound from the front left tire, increases with speed and braking, is this bearings? or uneven wear tires (dealer put differently aged tires)?

Sorry for so much info,

Just Curious.

Just go ahead and change the oil and filter using the proper weight. Also, replace the spark plugs, cap, rotors, and the air filter. With the sound, try rotate the tires and see if the problem go away. I usually put on new tires if they are a mismatch set. You should have the alignment check out if you decide to get some new tires. You may want to inspect the brake pads while you're at it.
