Default need help please

i have a civic 98 ex but my civic doesnt have a RPMthermometer. it is 5 speed, very hard to drive without thermometer.is itnormal for a 98 civic ex????????????????

I have a 5-speed 97 DX, and it does not have a tachometer. I don't know whether all 5-speed 98 EXs should have this gauge.

it's either not an EX, or the instrument cluster was replaced.... if you wanted to you could replace it with an instrument cluster with a tach(rpm gauge)... it's a pretty easy install

Yes your car should come with an RPM gauge. Its has been replace or your car is NOT an EX
