The D15B2 and D15B7 are nearly identical. The heads may be completely identical. I have kind of the opposite situation in my car, D15B7 engine replaced a D15B2.

In 92-95 years, auto and manual TBs were the same. They changed from a firewall-mounted MAP to TB mounted, but that is just a little rewiring like you did.

I don't understand you saying you can't get the marks to line up. Make sure the crank is at TDC. Then choose the belt position that gets the cam as close as possible. Tension the belt and tighten the tensioner, then turn the crank all the way around (counterclockwise, twice) so it's back at TDC1 and double check the marks, if not exact should be within the width of one tooth. Then you are done with the cam timing.

ok and i do that. But the thing is i cant get the ignition timing right im trying to get it to the 16 degrees btdc. My dizzy is maxed out towards the front of the car so retarded. Im like at between 14-15 degrees btdc. I dont know what else to do to get it at that 16 degree mark. I would like to add i do allow the car to warm all the way up. and then i shut it off and jump the service plug. the cel stays on. So im doing everything right but what could cause me not to get the ignition timing right.

update i think i figured it out. Since the tb was on a different car i was thinking mabe that was messed with so i ajusted it and i got the ignition timing set to where it should be. I thought of that bc when i was driving it when i pushed in clutch it took for ever for rpm to go to where it should idle so now soon as i push in clutch it drops right aaway to where idle is suppose to be. Its cold out so when it warms up a little ill make sure mechanical timing is still good if so i guess i have it figured out.
