Default Need more VTEC problem ideas and theory's

I have not done too much research yet SORRY
- But I will later on this weekend. I figured the experts would know.
As you might have replied to one of my previous posts - I have had some fun lately with an accident and repair shop problems.
The major problem was engine light came on = VTEC failure.
I replaced the whole VTEC spool (250 bucs) and the light has not come like it use to. It did once - but I noticed I was really low on oil and I hit 6000 rpm in 2nd gear going up hill. HUMMM weird..
But in all IT still doesn't sound right, I do not think it is hitting into VTEC...
Is there a way to tell if it is getting the correct signals electronically ?
Or if there is a electrical problem ?
I am thinking - Maybe the mechanics are working fine but there might be a wire messed up that needs fixed ?
IT does seems slower and I am not getting the pull i use to feel at 5500rpm.
Plus when I shift there seems a longer recovery going up the RPM range -
Like as if you shifted way to early and the rpm drops down to the 2000 range - - - It just not right.

Any thoughts on this ?

-Bill
