I've personally put a D15B7 distributor on 180 degrees out: it is possible if the parts are worn and/or you force it. I suggest starting from scratch and check all timing issues. Take the upper timing belt cover off and check the cam timing. After turning the engine by hand to TDC1, take the distributor cap off and confirm the rotor points at #1. Make sure the rotor screw is in place.

so, timing belt skipped I was able to slide it off by hand, At this point pretty sure I'm just going to do a mini me swap, as I can only guess that the valves arent going to be worth a ****. starting new thread As I cant figure out what is holding my head on as I removed all bolts.
