Default new owner help

Hello everyone, just picked up a 2001 honda civic, very good shape,5 speed, no leaks, no oil consumption. I was a little nervous at the 150,000 miles it has, never owned a honda. Car is really nice. What type of oil do you all run, in your cars. Im thinking a synthetic but is high milage a better choice, even with no leaks? Sorry so many questions, just excited about the new car. Thank you all so much, I look forward to getting to know you all.

was the timing belt/water pump replaced at 110,000 miles ???. you also want to inspect your front lower control arm bushing for damage as they don't last long in these cars also inspect ball joints and CV joints for damage or leaking. also consider replacing your oxygen sensors the primary sensor regulates air/fuel mixture so a dirty sensor will drastically reduce MPG. i use Mobil1 full synthetic 5w20 high mileage with a mobil1 extended life filter.
