The part where the window attaches itself to the unit. It's where I have to screw in the window into mount it properly, it looks like a support because the window rests on it when placed onto without the screws in place.

update: took the unit out and found out the housing to the motor cracked which prevented any sort of resistant/grip to the cord. Got it changed and replaced. The window works, goes up and down fine. Thanks to everyone.

sorry to resurrect an old post. I am unable to post a new thread. maybe someone out there can help me. it gives 2 error messages:

First msg:

line: 620
Char: 1
Error: Syntax Error
Code: 0

Second message:

Line:899
Char:1
Error: 'vB_Text_Editor' is undefined
Code: 0

I'm having similar issues as dsilentninja as my driver's side is making a slight grinding noise when I try to move it up. It got stuck at the bottom yesterday but after wiggling it back and forth using the switch, it finally broke through and came back up. But it makes a grinding noise coming up and not going down.

any help in locating other solutions aside from dsilentninja's helpful solution, would be greatly appreciated. I suppose he just got a new housing for the motor or does the new motor come with the housing.

Also, if anyone can help me with the error codes I get. I also get error messages when I do a search.

my specs: Windows XP Pro; IE 7.0

Thanks everyone.

Mundy5, I would just check the housing, if it's cracked then you will have to replace the whole piece because it is sold as a whole piece (motor and regulator) and when tightening the screws make sure you tighten slowly and you might not have to tighten the screws flush, tighten them as if you're tightening the lug nuts on the wheels.
