Default Newbie Exterior Detailing Question..

Just purchased my used civic and its about time for its first wash, rust removal and stuff.. I've read alot of articles regarding detailing and rust removal the last few weeks.
If any one can confirm the steps before i procede in doing so, that would be great! [8D]

Rust Removal:
1.) Sand with 120-80 grit to remove rust until bare metal is seen
2.) Use a finer grit to smooth out the metal surface
3.) Fill with bondo if there is a hole
4.) Use an anti-rust primer(?) x 3 coats
5.) Paint over it x multiple coats until it is around the same thickness as old paint
6.) fine sand it again
7.) (Heard this from a friend of mine) add some shining product or it would look dull?

Making car all shinny: (I have a black civic 94) - So i read the detailing article for black cars in this forum (detailing section).
Current Car Condition: Black, non shinny (dull i guess), swirl marks all over (not deep), some chipped paint
Equipment purchased or will purchase:
- Mcguire Gold Car wash, Mcguire Quik Wax, Mcguire Clay System(?)
- Klasse AIO Polish, Klasse Glaze
- Microfibre mitts
- Microfibre clothes
- Microfibre pads
- A pair of weak hands

Steps:
1.) Rince Car --> Mcguire GC into bucket with water --> Use mitts to wash car (circular motion) body first then bumper and tires--> Rince from top to bottom -->use a squeegy to dry
2.) Clay the car one panel at a time, make clay into a ball then flatten it, spray lubricant on clay and surface and begin rubbin the surface (is it circular motion here? and how many times per section?)
3.) Rince
4.) Apply polish onto a pad, apply a lil pressure and in circular motion(lil circles or big circles?)
5.) When all panels is complete, Buff it off (does that mean wipe it with the microfibre cloth? should i do that in a circular motion too?)
6.) Apply glaze onto a new pad, apply no pressure (should i do this in a circular motion?)
7.) Wait 1 hr, then buff it off
8.) Wait 4 hrs, apply glaze again.. repeat.. 2-3 times
9.) Wait 24 hrs
10.) Wax it, 1 panel at a time, buff 1 panel at a time

As you can see, im really noob at this.. but i want to do a proper job (just to outshine the car across the street [8D])

Tell me what you think

Thanks.

looks like a little overkill, but if you want to restore the appearance to like new, then it sounds like a good system. and for the rust removal, you can do that to repair surface rust, but i wouldn't patch "holes" with bondo, and the outcome probably won't come out looking too good, and you won't be able to blend it that well, best bet is to have the entire panel taken to a body shop and repaired for you.

Any one know of a better way other than using bondo then? are there better material that would come out better?

well, a shop will fix the spot with a patch, and then blend it to factory finish, if it's just a small spot, i'm sure it can be fixed with bondo, i'm just one of those guys that likes the job done right.
