Default Newer Civic Si Issues

I have been looking at buying a Civic Si. I own one Honda, I dont really like the look of Toyotas, didnt want to mess with tC due to IIHS imapct tests, the mazda felt really cheap, Nissans have horrible reliability and reviews, the Subarus are way more expensive... The Honda seems perfect, and I certainly have no complaints form the two test drives.

But...

I had read in two places now about people having issues with 08-09 Civic Si Transmissions. I thought I'd ask in a Civic minded forum because it made more sense to me, and I tried searching first but didnt find anything at pertaining to this.

I just want to be well informed. I learned a lesson long ago by not researching and buying something only to have the thing be a complete waste and then to look online and find tons of people with the same issue, it just made me feel stupid. The only dumb question is the one you dont ask.

Thanks in advance.

Is this the same issue it sounds like what everyone was talking about. Has this been officially fixed or does anyone know?

See that is where i am hearing controversy... I cant figure out if it IS or IS NOT happening on the 09's... Have they added 09 VIN's tot he TSB or has it become a full recall? I'm finding info but not much current, i.e. 09 info, not sure if it's just news lag or a no news is good news type of situation.
