Default no go :(

so saturday i was at work and went to go pick up some pizza my manager orderd for everyone at work.on my way back to the shop im goin down the main street about 30 mph and i give it a little gas and nothing.the car was reving up. i put it neutral then back in gear but still nothin so i coasted into a parking lot and i am prety shure that the tranny is gone.so i get a ride back to work.every few time the tranny will catch in reverse but only for a few seconds.when i first got back one of the guys i workl with said it was an axel and he had an extra one aronud so we go back to my car with jack and tools to change it but it was wrong axel.i go to take the rim of and one stud was messed up so i never put a lug on it cuz i was goin 2 change it but i was lostening the other ones and 2 of them snapped.i think because the guys at tire plus wheels put them on wrong when i got new tires cuz 2 on my friends truck also snapped.anysways later that night like 11-1130 we go down to my car and push it down a main road to the back of my work and it is just sitting there rite now.has anyone ever heard of a tranny jusy dying out of no where?i checked the trranny fluid and it was fine not even burnt.i was thinking that if it is the tranny, which i think it is im gunna just swap it to a standard.what will i need to get.i no you need the tranny, clutch, pedals ecu, shifterand a master slave cylnder if tranny dnt have one but is there any other kinda wiring i might need....tks 4 any help

Automatics can just quit like that. If it's a bad axle, you'd see the speedometer go up when you put it in gear and rev the engine, even though the car is not moving. Make sure that the shifter linkage is moving the lever on the transmission when you move the shifter on the floor.

Idiots at tire shops overtightening the lugs.... they really should require licenses before you can handle an impact gun.
