Default No Light In Transmission

Hi, one of my friends has a 97 Civic Ex 2Dr and the light that shows "P, R, N, D, 1, 2, 3" on the transmission box don't light up (Next to the automatic stick shift). Is there a way to replace of fix the bulb inside without heavy work?

Thanks!

they aren't supposed to light up i don't think, that is why they have the gear selection on the gauge cluster.

Yeah but in my 94 Honda Civic DX Coupe it lights up both on the dash and on the transmission box. I don't think Honda would eliminate a feature they had on an older model would they?

Can someone verify this?
