No lights on trunk deck lid.
Good Evening,
I have a 2005 4Dr LX with no lights functioning on the trunk lid, no back up lights, no brake or running lights (the lights on the rear quarter panels (running, brake and directions, work fine) and no third brake light or license plate lights.
I believe I have checked all associated fuses, they look good. Only two fuse boxes right? Under the steering column and the one under the hood. Problem was noticed when my wife got a ticket for no license plate lights, bulbs were both blown. replaced bulbs, still no love. The in trunk light however DOES work. Which I guess helped me check all the bulbs to see if a single was knocking out the whole circuit, but i would think there would be a few circuits involved. .. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Edit: All those components may be on a single wire harness. Check whether the main connector for the wire harness is damaged or disconnected. What you are looking for are connectors like C553 and C554 in the diagram below.

Just a follow up,
I build a ghetto tester, (two leads with a LED and resister on a breadboard) and checked that all the grounds were good, but then i noticed none of the effected lights had any power. So Im going down the line and find a hot spot, and a little further and it was dead. Then I noticed something about the wire cover, looked different. It had electrical tape wrapped around it and looked like it got "warm" So I unwrap it to find that someone had done a **** poor job of splicing the +power together mid line... WHY anyone would have done it is beyond me, im really hoping it was the previous owner and not the dealership... or the factory for that matter... lol. Anyway, I affixed my own splicing and rewrapped.
All lights now functional.
Thank you everybody for your input. Peace.
