No spark
Hello,
My 1995 Civic CX died the other day, while it was idling at a red light. The engine just shut off, as if the the ignition had been turned off, and would not restart. I checked for spark and there is none. When I turn the ignition on, all the usual warning and blinking lights come on, so I suppose the computer is still on. No check engine light.
I'm wondering if the coil in the distributor has gone bad. The engine has 260K miles. What could I check?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds when the key is turned to ON(II)?
Check whether the timing belt snapped by removing the oil filler cap and looking for whether the camshaft fails to turn when a buddy cranks the engine.
Check whether the BLK/YEL wire of distributor connector has battery power when the key is turned to ON(II).
