Default not runnin right

i got beat by a 94 dx hatch last night in my 97 4 door lx....somthing must be wrong...do you think?

weight differences, mods differences, auto vs manual trannys, drivers skills. many factors play a role when it comes to speed.

Maybe he had a B18 swap. Aren't the 5th gens lighter than the 6th? Seems reasonable to me. If you guys raced again (at the track) you might win. Good time for an intake and a cat-back, huh?

LX and DX have the same engine in most cases, only difference is option packages. Slow in relations to what? My EX is slow compared to my old camaro. In fact it is slow compared to my supercharged Tacoma 4x4 with 31" wheels. Don't take this the wrong way but I am just trying to put things in prespective.

I'm pretty sure he meant in comparison to the other model Civics. My woman's '01 Lx is a full second slower than my 94 Ex.

Yeah, but Liebers was comparing 2 civic with comparable engines. Both would be considered slow in that sense. That is all I was trying to point out.

see what im trying to say here is....i have a 1.6 5 speed....and he has a 1.5 5 speed....both have intakes...neither have exhausts....im just thinkin mine should still pull just as hard as his....you get where im coming from?
