Exclamation OBD2 to OB1 help!!

Im putting a d16z6 in my 97 civic from a d16y8 and the distributor doesnt mount up right and i have also heard that i need a jumper harnesss can someone please help me out ad tell me what all needs to be done kinda new at this game.. Thanks

Yes, the harnesses between the z6 and the y8 are different. The z6 has two plugs, the y8 has one.

The y8 dist. should be compatible with the z6 head and vice versa. Some modifying may be needed. I have a z6 rocker arm assembly on my y8, with a y8 dist and I had to shave the hole on the distributor slightly for everything to line up.
