when i did it i know i had to change ecu,get a jumper, and you need an obd1 distributor and you have to make a jumper so the dizzy plugs in. all the wires are color coated all you need is the plug off of an obd1 harness. which swap are you doing? i swapped a d16z6 into a 96 ex civic that had a d16 y8

i've never heard anything about the dizzy but if dudes96 has done it i guessyou need to....usually ist just get an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness, unplug your ECU, plug the harness in, then plug the new obd1 into that, simple as that.

What year car do you have? if its a 96-98 you need an OBD2a-OBD1 conversion harness. If its 99-00, you'll need the OBD2b-OBD1 conversion harness. Both can be found at rywire.com

You'll also need an OBD1 ECU. Give us more details on your ride and plans and we will recommend the correct one.

There is no need to change your dizzy

i dont really think the dizzy is necesarry, i've honestly never heard of that being necesarry before. But as long as you've got a basemap, just plug and play with the harness/new ECU and you should be good to go (to a dyno)
