Default Oh noes on my Si!

Ok, after the install of the motor and everything Im having a few problems. First, the fuse for instrument panel lights and all of the a/c control lights(they share a fuse) keeps blowing. The voltage reads fine though and I have gone up to 20amp fuses and they still blow. They originally take 7.5 amp fuses.

Problem 2. The turbo timer works and counts as it should but it doesnt keep the car on as it should when the key is out fo the ignition.

Problem 3. The air conditioning does not work anymore... BUT the compressor will turn on. What gives?

Any ideas or help would be a BIG plus.

Thanks in advance

First two you oblviously have wiring problem. I would just take my time and re-check all the wiring changes that had been done.
A/c - what do you mean does not work? Does not produce cold air? How do you tell compressor turns on? What about condenser fun? How engine idle behaves at the momemnt of switching on/off?

Of course no cold air comes out. But the motor ups the rpm a little to compensate and the compressor turns on when I hit the a/c button. I noticed I had a slight wiring problem. Im trying to see if anybody can sort of point me in the right direction with it to prevent me from being upside down under my dash for three hours resulting in passing out of blood too much blood to the head.

Sorry Remmy, don't have any idea about exact point in wiring - two obvious things to check is the wiring related to blowing fuse and the wiring related to turbo timer - but you know this without me. Hope someone has better idea. As for a/c - most probably small leak somewhere. It lost enough freon to not cool, but not enough to shut itself off completely. My 92' has the same problem, I'm just going to bring it toa/c shop before summer.

when the shop worked on it, were they doing anything with wiring inside the car? is your engine management new or are you using what you had in there when you bought the car?
