Oil leak

Got a 1997 civic cx hatchback with the 1.6 engine and there is a oil leak around the distributor. Anyone else have this problem is it hard to fix any info would be GREAT thanks

is it comming out from ur valve cover which it right next to the dizzy

after washing down the engine it seems like it is coming from underneath the distributor. Is there a certain way the o ring has to be installed

Probably just need to pick up a new seal

put the new seal in seems to have done the trick thanx

still seems to be alittle bit seeping out where is the correct place for the seal ?

it may be the cam plug seal too. they get worn out over the years.

either way, it's a relatively cheap fix.

valve cover gasket kit costs roughly $30-$50 and a cam plug seal costs $5.
