oil pressure gauge reading 100
i have an a-pillar oil pressure gauge and usually it reads more down towards 80 and all of the sudden its been reading like 98-100. the needle goes down to 0 when i turn the car off.
well if theweather is colder it could have higher pressure due to the cold fluid. preaty typical. after the cars warmed up real good it should go to normal.
once warm your average pressure reading at idle should be close to 50, at WOT would be between 60-70. Either the gauage is shot or something is wrong. Could be a number of things.
If your using an electric one, make sure the sensor is well mounted. Mine used to give me way off reading all because it was little loose that it would wiggle around the firewall[&:]. After I tighted it better to the firewall it started giving me constant readings.
