Default oil pressure sensor removal?

I'm trying to remove the wiring harness from a 93 EG 1.5 CX engine.

I've got everything off but the last plug. I think it's the oil pressure sensor.

Does anyone know how to remove the harness plug? It's either frozen in place or you need a special tool?

It's located right above the oil filter in the back of the engine block.

Any help would be mucho appreciated! lol.

Yeah, thats the oil pressure sensor. In for an answer, because I still can't get mine off the project engine. Just has one wire, right?

This is on the head, correct? Can someone post up a pic of where it is exactly? I will take a look and see if I can get mine off.

Nope, on the back of the block, above the oil filter, near the coolant drain bolt. I think it has a yellow/red wire coming off of it.

Meh, I got it off. The plasticy rubber sensor cover tears when you try to remove it. Its like a spark plug cover. Just get it off somehow and then twist the copper sensor bolt off underneath. Thats it.

I was afraid of that. I didn't want to tear that boot. Guess I have to. Thanks for the info. You have a project going on?

Try pinching tthe rubber cover and twisting first. It may come off that way. If not, tearing may be your only option.

I'm swapping my brothers engine out and replacing it with another complete engone. And I have to curse hondas name for using so many plastic clips in the engine bay. Fml...

Pull boot back(*), unplug the wire. There are two possible kinds of wire plugs. The round one just pulls off. The square one (with a flat blade on the sensor) may need you to press the release tab on the side before pulling it off.

(*) The boot may or may not tear. If it tears just leave it off it's not essential. Most other cars never had one on their oil pressure switch from the factory.
